What Do You Have To Say About Love?

Love has been shown to be a versatile tool to express feelings, thoughts or promises. Rather it’s through music, a speech, movies, poems or most importantly the word of God. I thought it would be fun to look up some of the quotes that inspire me about love and share them on the post today. Enjoy!

  1. “What’s love got to do with it.” – Tina Turner
  2. “Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers a multitude of sins.” – 1 Peter 4:8
  3. “Love means never having to say you’re sorry.” – Love Story
  4. Learning to love yourself is the greatest love of all.” – Whitney Houston
  5. “(If loving you is wrong) I don’t want to be right.” – Luther Ingram

  6. ” I have decided to stick with love.  Hate is to great a burden to bear.” – Martin Luther King Jr.
  7. ” The greatest happiness in life is the conviction that we are loved; loved for ourselves, or rather loved in spite of ourselves.” – Victor Hugo
  8. ” Love begins at home and it’s not how much we do…but how much love we put into action.” – Mother Teresa
  9. ” Love is always bestowed as a gift –  freely, willingly and without expectation.  We don’t love to be loved; we love to love. – Leo Buscaglia
  10. ” And now abide faith, hope, love, these three, but the greatest of these is love.”  1 Corinthians 13:13

So what do you say about love? Any quotes that inspire you?

Oh Honey Please!

I was speaking with an older lady about her doctors visit. She said that the doctor actually recommended that she began to use a great significant amount of honey. I thought that was interesting seeing that this wasn’t going to cause for her to take a prescription.  Now she actually does have to take prescribed medications for other things. We forget about the natural remedies that comes from the nature that God created in nature.

I remember growing up and having stomach aches and colds and being given things by my grandmother that didn’t require going to the hospital. Now I’m not speaking against medicine. I’m simply saying that we should remember that there are natural solutions to some things just as God intended. Have you ever used any home remedy before? If you take a few moments to think about what you have in your kitchen cabinets and refrigerators, you could easily make a list of super healing foods that can become ready remedies for combating common ailments — headaches, cuts and bruises, burns, acne and pimples, heartburn, dizziness, nausea, constipation, dry skin, diarrhea, weight gain, sleeplessness, dullness, anxiety, indigestion, coughs, sore throat, and even athletes foot. These foods usually don’t burn a big hole in your pocket, neither do they taste too awful like some antibiotics. I remember hearing people say the worst the medicine taste that means its working. Not sure if that’s true.

DIY folk remedies that you can easily prepare and mix yourself at home are some of the most natural medicines! As more people become wary of the effects of chemically produced drugs and health products from the store, natural home remedies also become more popular. I know I personally am always concerned with side effects to any and every form of medication. Though these natural alternative medicines are never intended as a substitute for professional medical care, their powerful healing attributes have long been used thousands of years ago since biblical times and proven to safely cure diseases and correct health disorders for generations after generations.

Honey Facial Mask Recipe for Dry, Flaky Skin

1 raw egg
1 tablespoon honey

Honey Facial Mask Recipe for Acne

Simply apply a scoop of honey to clean skin and let sit for 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

To use honey as a spot treatment on pimples you picked at, put a drop of honey on your finger and gently pat it onto the infected area before bed. Cover overnight with a bandage. The honey will keep your skin and the oozing area sterile by fighting off bacteria. And as a bonus it will accelerate the healing process.

Detox Anyone?

image

It’s Fridayyyyyy!!!! As if you didn’t already know that huh;=) If by chance you’ve decided you’re staying in this evening nicely sheltered from the cold how about trying this detox I ran across on Terry Quinn’s facebook page.  By the way she has lots more great DIY’s in case you’re interested at www.facebook.com/terryquinn210

The first thing you need to know though, is that you should allow at least 45 minutes to yourself for this, because the first half of the time is to detox and the second half is to soak-in. The longer, the better.

You can make your own mixture with other ingredients, but the basic ingredients are as follows:

-2 cups of Epsom salt (and add in another cup for every 50 pounds you are over 100 pounds)
-2 cups of baking soda
-1/3 cup of ground ginger
-Your choice of mint, herbs, or essential oils

image

Add all of those things (or your favorite optional ingredients) into a hot bath as it is running, and swish it around until it is as dissolved as possible. Jump in and enjoy. Be warned though…you WILL sweat, and quickly. The more ginger you use, the more you will sweat. Soak for at least 45 minutes, hop out and into a fluffy towel, and then spend the next fifteen minutes trying to remember your first name. Ahhhhh…sounds great doesn’t it? I can’t wait to try it myself; =)

The only way to get love is to be lovable. It's very irritating if you have a lot of money. You'd like to think you could write a check: 'I'll buy a million dollars' worth of love.' But it doesn't work that way. The more you give love away, the more you get. - Warren Buffet
